Help others register

• Training next week Become a Volunteer Deputy Registrar Volunteer Deputy Registrars are certified by the county to register voters in Harris County. Free training, and it's how voter registration drives actually happen. I just signed up — dates and sign-up are on the county page.

Check your status

• Am I registered? Texas Secretary of State lookup. Worth checking even if you're sure — registrations get cancelled.
• Register to vote Texas still requires a paper application. Print, sign, and mail it — start earlier than you think you need to.

Before you go

• What's on my ballot? League of Women Voters. Enter your address for your actual ballot, including the local races nobody covers.
• What ID do I need? The accepted list, and what to do if you don't have one of them.
• Harris County voters Local polling locations, early voting sites, and wait times.
